Feniton’s green blessed
On Sunday Feniton BC held its opening drive, which started with the vicar the Rev Cate Edmonds blessing the green and the coming season.
There was just time for the President, Michael Chipperfield to bowl the opening wood of the season, before the heavens opened and play was abandoned for the day.
After a very pleasant early tea, Michael Chipperfield presented the awards for the winter leagues.
The internal skittles league was won by ‘The Assured’ (Graham and Di Philips, Steve and Lynda Dommett, Dave and Cara Sanders and John Dibble) on pins difference from ‘The Pretenders’ .

The club always welcomes new members, established players, beginners or juniors. Beginners will be given free coaching to make them sufficiently proficient to play in matches. Two nights (Mondays and Fridays) a week are set aside for internal bowls. These nights are both social occasions and a chance for informal practice and the opportunity to meet other players outside of match situations.
