Feniton’s aspirations in the Two Counties League suffered a severe set back with a brace of defeats last week, writes Roger Smith.

First up the team went down 89-54 to Culm Vale with the only successful Feniton rink the one of S Crawford, J Smith, S Kury and A Kury (17-15).

Next up an 80-68 defeat at the hands of Hemyock and here the winning rink was the one of G Blackmore, J Skinner, S Kury and A Evans (28-8).

In the Over-60s League the B team were the only side in action last week and they lost to all-conquering Madeira E by a score of 41-24.

The Feniton ladies recorded an excellent 51-19 win in the NBTL over Exonia.

The winning rinks were T Crawford, J Smith and D Phillips (33-8) and A Coyne, A Pritchard and G North (18-11).
