Feniton Under-16s built on their opening day win with a powerful showing against Honiton that saw them win 10-2.

The first half saw Feniton take their time to settle against a stiff wind as well as determined Honiton opposition who scored two first half goals before the quality of the Feniton front three of Blackmore, Ayers and Walsh turned the game on its head as the Honiton back line couldn’t compete with the pace of the Feniton attack as they raced into a 5-2 lead at the interval.

The second-half was largely one-way traffic with Man of the Match Jacob Turner controlling the midfield. Five further goals were scored in the second period by Feniton who also enjoyed a shut out in terms of any further Honiton goals throughout the second half.

The scoring honoiurs for Feniton went to Walsh (4), Blackmore (3), Turner (2) and Ayres.

The two teams meet again next Sunday (October 2) in a cup tie.
