A team of eight juniors, and two older members, took part in the first of the new East Devon Junior Cross Country Series. Perfect conditions saw Layla Felgate and Mollie Hansford, making their debut runs with Axe Valley Runners coming in second and third girls in the U13 3.5k race. Lydia Clapp was sixth and Zoe Sing ninth. Alisdair Heasman was the fifth boy. In the U15 5k race Romy Phillips was 1st girl. The U17 6.5k race was won by Dan Clapp (pic far left). Alex Barry took fourth place and thoroughly enjoyed the hill so steep that you had to use a rope to climb up! Thanks to Sidmouth Running Club for a great event.
