Beer Albion got their first win of the Fresha League season with a 2-0 success over Alphington Reserves.

James Melville and Matty Rowson netted the goals which came either side of half-time.

Boss Phil Crabb said: β€œTo be fair to them (Alphington), they fielded a young side but you can only put away what is put in front of you and we did that in some style. What I particularly liked about our performance was the way we kept the ball down and looked to pass it at every opportunity. We also kept our shape very well and were clinical with the finishing. It was all very encouraging.”

On Saturday Beer have home advantage for an East Devon Senior Cup 2nd Round tie against Culm United.
