Young judo students have put their martial art well and truly on the map, having won colours at recent grading examinations.

Young judo students have put their martial art well and truly on the map, having won colours at recent grading examinations. The boys and girls attend weekly classes held at Honiton Sports Centre under the watchful eye of teacher Steven Walter, a 4th Dan black belt.Walter said "We have a great range of youngsters, big and small, experienced and novice. They all work together, creating an environment which is disciplined and fun. Judo is a wonderful confidence building exercise and the awarding of colours has given members a great boost - I'm very proud of them all."Grades gained were:1st white bar, Bradley Levy;2nd white bar, Holly Lynch, William Whitworth, Fred Bennett, Megan Thompson-Summers, Lewis Evans;3rd white bar, Ben Levy; 4th white bar, Oscar Hinds; 5th white bar, Greg Kerti; White Belt, Marianne Kerti;Yellow Belt, Harry Boswell; 3rd orange bar, Felix Signal, Annie Wallace;Orange Belt, Harry Rogers, Aaron Burnham, Jack Rumens; 1st blue bar, Jessica Hornabrook; Blue Belt, Madison Rogers.
