Honiton Under 8s were away at Rockbeare for their final games of the season, and their last with Gary Osbourne as manager on a very cold Saturday morning, writes Mark Fisher .

The Devils played Exeter Panthers first, a good game seeing Isaac Lidster getting Man of the Match for a brilliant game. The Devils were still beaten 3-0 despite working hard. The Devils then played the Pink Panthers, going a goal down before half time, but with a few encouraging words from their coach, an inspired side took charge winning 2-1, goal scorers being Liam Osborne and Luke Matthews. Joe Evans was awarded Man of the Match. River Leisk and Arron White also had a great game.

The Demons played the Pink Panthers first. Ryan Wadey had the game of the season getting Man of the Match. Unfortunately they lost 2-0 but deserved a draw at least. Elliot Holdsworth and Jake Mabbutt had a great game. The Demons played Exeter Panthers, and they went a goal down. Soon they were back to their fighting ways and the rest of the game was all Demons who did everything but score in a fine show I was very proud. Harry Horn got Man of the Match. Thanks to all who helped in our first season especially Andrew Horn and Gary Osborne who will be sadly missed as he is starting up a new team of U8s for next season.

Honiton Town Youth Football are looking for new players in next seasons U15s, under new management with Kieren Freemantle 07972 097020.

Please give him a ring for training and pre-season tournaments over the spring and summer.
