Axminster management pair appear to have the ‘midas touch’

The recently installed new management pairing at Axminster Town cannot seem to put a foot wrong just now, writes Steve Birley.
Since Keith Somers and Peter Knox took charge of the Tigers they have won each of the first three games with the latest being Saturday’s thrilling extra-time 7-3 success at East Devon rivals Seaton Town.
Making the victory all the sweeter was that both Somers and Knox used to manage and play respectively at Court Lane!
Adam Cowling and Ben Vine both bagged braces and the other Town goals came from Gary McCauley, Alex Wheatley and Knox himself.
Both Cowling and Knox had started the game on the bench.
The teams had scored three goals each after 90 minutes with the Tigers’ superior fitness telling in the extra half hour.
Town have made arrangements to train weekly on the artificial surface at the Chard Sports Centre. The sessions will take place on Tuesday’s from 8pm to 9.30pm and whilst all current players are expected to attend, there’s also an invitation to any prospective players to get along and see if they can add something to the Tigers squad.
