Axminster Town celebrated the news that they have finally got access to their splendid new home at Tiger Way by crushing hosts Crediton 7-2 in a midweek South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division meeting.

Sam Dibling and Ben Vine both scored hat-tricks and the single goal came from Bad Lee Miller.

Whilst the win was not enough to lift the Tigers off bottom spot it was the perfect way to end a special day for the club.

Before the match the news broke that the Tigers are now able to use Tiger Way as their home. This comes after month’s of false hope and constant delays which left the team having to play their league ‘home’ matches, away!

There’s little doubt that the fact the team were forced to be ‘footballing travellers’ made life tough for them./ However, with the news of access to Tiger Way,. Off came the shackles and the team responded with a terrific all-round show to brush aside the Crediton challenge.
