Axminster Town were beaten 3-0 by visiting Exeter Civil Service.

If the Sector Lane faithful were hoping the Tigers would repeat their performance of the previous game which had seen them land their first win of the season, they were left disappointed.

The Tigers made a decent enough start and Jamie Chamberlain went closest to breaking the deadlock but two goals in the final nine minutes of the first half sent the visitors into the break with the advantage.

The second half saw an improved performance from the Tigers but they were unable to open up the solid visiting back line and were hit by a third goal, a late penalty that sealed their fate.

Adding in jury to insult for the Tigers was the opposition departed with only their second success of the season.

This Saturday the Tigers travel to Totnes and Dartington.
