Axminster Town suffered a heavy 5-0 reversal when they visited St Martins for their latest South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division outing.

Any fans of the Tigers who might have left the Exminster venue at half-time could have been forgiven for finding the final score an extraordinary one for, at the midway stage, honours were even at 0-0!

However, once the home side got their noses in front with a goal four minutes into the second half, they did not look back, scoring four more to end up as emphatic winners.

On an afternoon to forget for the travelling Town faithful, they also saw the Tigers miss a penalty, awarded when it was just 2-0 to the home side.

This Saturday (March 3), Town travel again with a visit Appledore (3pm).
