Only Sidmouth Town (22) have played more South West Peninsula League Eastern Division games than Axminster Town and so they are not – yet – facing a congested end of season.

The Tigers have played 21 league games so far and that means they have 11 to play. They are not in action this coming Saturday (February 17) and so next play on the final Saturday of the month when they host Newton Abbot Spurs (3pm) at Tiger Way.

Seaton Town suffered their fourth successive Macron League top flight postponement last weekend, and the basement dwellers face a tough task on Saturday when they entertain second-placed Newtown, after which they have a run of three successive away games with visits to Hatherleigh, Witheridge and Topsham Town.

If Seaton face a tough game this coming Saturday, then Feniton’s task looks even bigger as they take on table-topping Elmore, who will pitch up at Acland Park to take on Fenny, looking to record a 13th successive Macron League Premier Division success.

Feniton had another game washed out last weekend and this coming Saturday’s meeting with Elmore will be game number 17 of their 30-match top flight campaign.
