Axminster Town suffered a twelfth defeat in fourteen games with a 3-0 Sector Lane reversal at the hands of Appledore.

What’s more the third goal shipped was also the 50th conceded by the side in what has been, to date, a difficult term for the Tigers.

As seems to have been the way of late for the battling Tigers they were very much in then contest until the visitors took the lead just before half-time.

The Tigers gave a good account of themselves after the break but their resolve was broken with the visitors adding a second just 15 minutes form time and a third, five minutes from the end, merely rubbed salt into the wound.

Despite the defeat all is not lost for the Tigers who are without a game this weekend and return to league action on Saturday week, November 26 with a Sector Lane game against current leaders Okehampton Argyle.
