Beer Albion kick-off their Fresha Devon and Exeter League programme this coming Saturday (August 22), writes Richard Honnor.

In the Premier Division, Beer’s first team have what looks a tough start against an Elmore side that looked impressive in their 2-0 win against the Albion’s local rivals Seaton Town last Saturday.

The Tiverton-based outfit are considered by many to be amongst the title favourites this time round so it could not be a tougher start for the Fishermen at Horsdon Park!

Former Aston Villa and Bristol Rovers striker Richard Walker continues in the role of player manager.

Beer Reserves have been promoted to Division Five and start their campaign at home against Alphington 3rds.

Player manager Simon Smith remains at the helm. Kick-off on Saturday is 3pm and the match is being sponsored by Pecormama, Gardens, Games and Trains, Beer, Devon.

The club offers a warm welcome to spectators old and new alike to their home ground The Furzebrake where they can enjoy good local football in a convivial environment.
