The Fishermen were once again the masters of their own downfall as they enjoyed large periods of dominance in both halves and yet ended up on the end of a heavy defeat to the table topping visitors.

Two goals in the first half and one after the break consigned Beer to a seventh defeat in 13 games and they are now just three points above the bottom three.

Boss Phil Crabb says “Of course it is a worry that we are seemingly constantly suffering the same sort of match day woes. We boss possession, look on top, don’t take our chances, then get hit on the break, and then you can see the shoulders drop and this game was just the same as one down quickly became two. We then re-grouped and began the second half the better side before falling away late on. We need to take our chances and when we start doing that the rest will, fall into place.”

On Saturday the Fishermen travel to Feniton. Crabb says: “It’s a derby game and there’s no added motivation for the players required. They (Feniton) are in red hot form, but in many ways I feel that the underdog tag suits us more than most. We’ll go there looking to get a positive result.”
