Axminster Town Under-13s chalked up and another success, beating visiting Honiton 6-1, and with it climbed to the top of the Exeter and District Youth League Under-13 Division One table in the process.

With grass pitches too wet for action the game was switched to the 3G surface at Axminster and the home side served up an excellent all-round show, scoring three goals in each half.

Charlie Bye led the scoring honours with a hat-trick and the other goals came from Zac Featherstone, Archie Clode and Billy Knox.

The midfield pairing of Clode and Knox was central to much of the attacking play produced by the Tigers. Jondrik Gangoso was another to have a terrific individual game.

An eighth win of the campaign takes the Tigers goal count this season to 82 in 10 outings!

The Tigers are very much in the thick of what looks to be a five-team tussle to bag one of three promotion places up for grabs – as well as the divisional title itself.

Tigers have played nine of the 20 games they’ll contest in the league this season and are back in action on Saturday week (February 27) when they travel to a Copplestone Rangers side yet to win a game this term.
