Seaton Under-10s were edged out 2-0 against Lyme Regis in a very evenly matched contest in which both teams struggled to create clear chances.

The goals conceded summed up a scrappy game, with a defensive error gifting Lyme an opener and a blocked cross that fell kindly for their striker a yard out.

Seaton were unusually disjointed and their passing game went missing when they found themselves in excellent positions. They still managed to fashion what clear chances there were, but could not work the keeper, as the strikers misfired.

Max Nevell did his best to change things late on with a driving run and shot, which somehow the keeper tipped over the bar.

Everything that was wrong with the first game came good in a friendly with Millway Eagles.

The two sides produced a cracking game that Seaton edged 5-4. The football played by both teams was exceptional with quick passing, great movement and finishing – it was a pleasure to watch.

Aaron Hale bagged a hat-trick with Max Nevell and Leo Gribble completing the scoring.

Man of the Morning was Daniel Byrne who never misplaced a pass, calmness in chaos – superb!
