George Chapman netted twice as Colyton Cobra’s Under-11s kept up their bid for an Exeter and District Youth League Division Three promotion berth.

The home side led 3-1 at the break, but the visitors came back strongly in the second half and it needed some sterling work from defenders Ben Huscroft and Hal Austin to keep them at bay.

William Bryant scored one of the Cobra’s goals before a nasty injury led to him needing treatment and a post match visit to hospital, though happily he was back home by mid-afternoon.

The other home goal was an own goal.

Matthew Patmore was the winners Man of the Match with a fine shift in midfield.
