Local rivals Honiton and Colyton produced an epic Axminster Carpets Cup final with both teams giving 110 per cent.

Local rivals Honiton and Colyton produced an epic Axminster Carpets Cup final with both teams giving 110 per cent. Honiton broke the early deadlock, scoring first, and they held on to the lead until just before half time.Colyton's pressure was rewarded when skipper David Laramy fired home a cracking right foot shot to see the first half end level. Colyton's pressure continued and they took the lead through the powerful Jack Videon. Honiton were down but not out and broke through Colyton's defence late in the game to force extra time. The next 20 minutes were tense and saw both teams create chances. Once gain it was David Laramy who produced a great solo effort to clinch the cup for Colyton. Congratulations to both teams for a great game of football and thank you to Rex Helston Furniture for their sponsorship of Colyton on cup day.
