Rain doesn’t stop play! Despite heavy rain just before the start of Honiton Under-8s’ latest home match all their matches went ahead, writes Mark Fisher.

Honiton Devils’ first game against Twyford Madrid was hard fought from start to finish ending with Madrid winning 2-0. Devils improved their passing and play through the game with Jai Freemantle getting Man of the Match for his solid performance in defence, with Arran White and Liam Osborne also working very hard.

The Devils’ second match against Twyford Barca was a fantastic game to watch with the highlight of an amazing goal from River Leisk who also got Man of the Match. The game finished 4-2; other goal scorers were Ewan Evans and Luke Matthews.

●Honiton Demons’ first match against Barca was a great game to watch with Barca scoring first. The Demons struck back twice in the second half winning 2-1, goal scorers Sam Foster and Connor Richards. Ben Borkorski was awarded Man of the Match for his hard work in defence.

The Demons’ second match against Madrid was a physical game with stalemate to within five minutes of the end. Madrid scored two goals to win 2-0, although the Demons had lots of chances, many saved off the line. Man of the match was Ryan Waydey, with Pheonix Welch and Jake Mabutt whose workrate was exhausting!

The Devls and Demons are back in action on the 17th December.
