Honiton Town Reserves shared six goals with visiting Fluxton.

Joe Dixon scored twice and Matt Urquhart also netted whilst Rhys Sellick was the Man of the Match.

Town Reserves boss John Lewis was left disappointed that his team took so long to get started in the game. He said: “It took us 50 minutes to see the real Town side. One thing to come out of this game is the need to collectively work Fluxton proved to be a very strong physical side which Town didn’t get to grips with until 50 mins into the game, the football took over and mangager John Lewis was left disappointed to have not won the game but felt the team have to work harder when not in possession of the ball.”

Town first team boss Kev Blackwell added: “It’s clear both our senior sides have real competition for places. Both sides are very strong, and both team managers are having to make tough decisions on who to leave out! These are not taken lightly and serious consideration needs to be made by those at the club with regard to getting a third team together. There are some terrific young players who can’t squeeze into the teams, and the current Under-16 side has some fantastic players that should have the opportunity to stay at their home town club.
