On a wet weekend you could bet against Farway fielding teams home and away, but that is just what happened on Saturday - the catch being that the Reserves gave away home advantage in the Kenny Hodges Cup.

They played away at Charmouth and enjoyed a rain free afternoon - "Don't get me wrong, you wouldn't have got a tan, but it was just a normal Autumnal afternoon," said Farway spokesman Graham Barton.

The switch cost Farway the ref's fee, but they went through 7-0.

Chris Legg scored two goals with others from Lee Couch, Chris Haines, Greg McCullom, Stuart Turner and Rob Downs.

Farway 1st team won 3-1 away to Lyme Regis Reserves, in amazingly decent conditions.

Tom Albano put Farway ahead i the Division One match, and they led 1-0 at half time.

James Salter scored immediately after the restart and Bradley King got in on the act. Farway were comfortable and 3-0 up when Lyme scored. Dave Dare was Farway's star player.

l Lyme Regis's Coronation Cup semi final against Combe St Nicholas was postponed, South Petherton going through 7-0 against Charmouth in the other - which meant both Charmouth teams lost 7-0.
