Dunkeswell went out of the Football Express Cup, beaten 4-0 I Exeter by Priory, writes Jamie Berry.

The Dunks travelled more in hope than expectancy to meet a side that has won all their opening league game splaying in a higher division.

Adding to the travelling angst was that the Dunks journeyed without four of the previous weekends winning line-up.

Things were compounded further with the hosts scoring three early goals!

In the second half the Dunks battled well and did enjoy a measure of control thanks to the combined efforts of Charlie Stephenson and Ryan Pike and the home goal led a charmed life, before the hosts netted a late fourth.

Matt Woollcott and Jake Pulman had fine games for the Dunks. On Saturday the team travel to Bradninch for a Division Six meeting.
