Dunkeswell now just three wins shy of a league and cup double

Dunkeswell Rovers head for a Macron League Division Five title decider with the only team to sit above them in the table, Exmouth Spartans, tonight (Wednesday) knowing that a win and then a victory at home to Bravehearts on Saturday (May 11) and the Dunks will be crowned champions.
The villagers are in this position following Bank Holiday Monday's 2-1 success at Culm United.
In that game the Dunks, who had been forced into a number of changes from the team that had dismantled hosts Sidmouth Town thirds last midweek, began in the worst possible fashion as they shipped a first minute goal from a free-kick!
Parity was restored thanks to a wetly struck Steve Morris free-kick and to leave things level at half-time.
After the break, it was not until the 75th minute that the games third and final goal arrived, and it was scored by an unfortunate Culm defender, turning the ball past his own glovesman.
Dunks joint boss Brian Cann said: "That was nip and tuck and we have a few tired legs in the camp- understandable given the amount of games we have had lately. However, it's also three more precious points and the finishing line is in sight!
"The lads have worked so hard through a long season and it is testament to their collective abilities that they are now in a position where, if they win their remaining three games this season they will achieve a league and cup double - here's hoping."
