Dunkeswell Rovers were 4-1 winners when they met Bradninch in a Fresha League Division Six match.

The Dunks had to come from behind to claim the points as the Mid Devon side struck first.

However, the early visiting goal seemed to galvanise the home side and parity was swiftly restored with Brad Morris scoring his first before Charlie Stephenson rifled home a superb strike from the edge of the box.

With the lead secured Dunkeswell began to settle down and it was no surprise whe they scored again with Morris netting his second to send the team into the break with a 3-1 advantage.

The second half was relatively quite with the fourth and final goal coming from a Ryan Pike penalty after Morris had been hauled down.

In all this was a decent performance from the Dunks for whom Jacob Cobb White deserves special mention for his commanding shift in the centre of midfield.

Having accumulated just three points from their previous six outings the Dunks had slipped down the table.

However, it’s a congested section and this result sees the side move to within four points of a top four berth.

On Saturday the Dunks travel to second bottom Langdon who have lost 11 of their 14 games so far this season.
