End of season fixture woes for many local youth sides

Yet another washout across the Exeter and District Youth League leaves some clubs with a real problem regarding getting outstanding games played!

Across the 17 divisions running from Under-16 to Under-11 no fewer than 18 teams have 10 or more matches to play to complete their season and there are just six more Saturdays until the season’ final match day of May 4.

The most games a side has to negotiate is the 13 remaining for Tedburn St Mary in the Under-11 Division Three.

Newton Knights and Exmouth Amateurs both have a dozen games to play in Under-11 Division Two and Seaton Town (Under-13 Div 3), Crediton Saints (U14 Div 2), Crediton Youth (U14 Div 2) and Pinhoe Gladiators (U14 Div 2) all have 11 to play.

There are 11 teams still with ten matches to complete.

At the other end of the scale there are none teams with just three to play whilst two, Hemyock in Division Two of the Under-13s and Broadclyst in the Under-16 Division Three have just two games to play to complete their seasons.

Locally, Seaton Town have 11 to play in Under-13 Division Three whilst Seaton Town and Feniton both have 10 games to play in Under-11 Division One and Honiton Town still have nine matches to negotiate in their Under-15 Division Two campaign.
