Feniton were frustrated in their bid to stay top of the Fresha League Premier Division when they were held to a 0-0 by hosts Hatherleigh.

It was only the second time in seven early season outings that Ben Ede’s side had failed to win a league game and the two points dropped sees Elmore take over on top with the Acland Park outfit now in second place.

In a game that never really saw either side get out of a low gear, just one shot was fired I anger on target at either end across the 90 minutes!

For the Blues the back four of; Roberto Bergamini, Stuart Blackmore, Kieran Johnston and Alex Frankpitt were solid throughout and the Man of the Match award went to the hard-working Kieran Johnston.

Blues boss Ede said: “For me it’s a case of two points dropped. I know some will look at it and say a point away is good, but I felt we ought to have had enough in our locker to come home with all three points.

“We had bags of possession and controlled long periods of the contest, but fell shot on idea in front of goal!”
