Feniton ladies won the Westward Developments Devon Women’s Football League cup when they defeated Ilfracombe Town 6-1.

Feniton proved to be too strong for their opponents, who battled valiantly throughout the match but were eventually well beaten.

Possibly, the goal of the game was scored by Ilfracombe substitute Ellie Coles, who struck a superb drive late in the game.

However, the goal came too late to change the course of the contest.

That was because Feniton had already scored at regular intervals through a Stef Churchill-Matthews hat-trick, two goals from Brittany Harris and one from Nia Owen.

Now Feniton are well placed to go on and win the Division One title to complete a league and cup double and then step up into the top division, where they will come across Ilfracombe Town next season.
