Feniton eased their worries about a bottom three finish in the Macron League Premier Division after a 3-1 success over Exmouth Town.

The victory at Acland Park means Fenny are now six points clear of the bottom three.

The visitors led 1-0 at half-time, but second half goals from Charlie Selley, sub Aiden Mitchell and an own goal, saw Feniton to a much needed and richly deserved, success.

It’s a measureof how tough a season it has been for Feniton that Saturday’s win was only a second for them at their Acland Park this season! In 11 league and cup games at what has been, in recent seasons something of a fortress for Fenny, they had only beaten Upottery before this latest win.

One area that Fenny boss Mark Kingdom will be keen to see improved is in the clean sheet department.

In 20 games this season, Fenny have scored 40 goals, which represents an average of two goals per outing, but they have also shipped an average of three a game with 66 goals conceded so far, with no clean sheets!

On Saturday (March 3), Feniton are once again in home action when they host high-flying Cronies.
