Feniton Under-16s get super sponsorship to boost an already excellent campaign

Feniton Under-16s are currently enjoying a fine season.
The team are currently sitting third in Division One of the Exeter and District Youth League campaign and are into the semi-finals of the League Cup and have a Devon Cup quarter-final tie to look forward to.
What’s more, the team’s on-pitch success has now been boosted by the support through sponsorship of local business C Plant Services, of Fenny Bridges, who have kindly donated a new playing kit.
The team wore the kit in their recent 6-0 League Cup quarter-final win over Lympstone.
Giles Basson (2), Oscar Dennison (2), skipper Alfie Siggers and Treeve Harris scored the Fenny goals.
Team boss Dave Grimshaw said: “Conditions were heavy under foot and playing up the Feniton slope in the first half wasn’t an easy task, but we went in at the break 2-0 up and stayed in charge after half-time when the team’s excellent fitness came to the fore. It was good for the team to score six goals, but an even bigger thing, for me as a coach, was the clean sheet.”
The team’s progress in the Devon County Cup is a real highlight of the season so far. They set up their meeting with the Alphas by winning 8-2 on their visit to Plymouth to meet Marjon Youth, followed by a 3-2 success over a Bideford Blues and Appledore side that reached the final of last year’s cup competition!
