Feniton continue to harbour Fresha League Premier Division title hopes after they won and table-topping Tiverton Town dropped two points in the latest round of matches.

Whilst the Blues were beating basement boys Budleigh Salterton 4-1,Tiverton Town were being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Sidbury United.

Goals from Jamie Doidge, Ben Ede, Matt Kingdon and Charlie Selley gave Mark Kingdon’s men their latest three point haul.

It’s going to take a mammoth task if Feniton are to deny Tivvy the title. The Blues have six to play, one more than Tivvy, and they trail the Mid Devon side by seven points.

The top two are set to meet at Tiverton on April 29 in what might yet be a ‘winner-takes-all’ encounter.

Before that the Blues host Topsham Town this Wednesday (April 15), entertain second bottom Willand Reserves on Saturday (April 18) and then travel to face first Sidbury United and then Heavitree United before the big game at Ladysmead.

The Feniton season ends at Elmore on Wednesday, May 6.

Tiverton Town’s remaining five games see them travel to Heavitree United, Thorverton and Willand Rovers Reserves before the meeting with Feniton and they end their campaign with a May 2 home game against Seaton Town.
