Foster goals seals Honiton Devils Under-10s success

Honiton Devils Under-10s were led to victory by inspiration captain Dominic McCreadie-Taylor.

Just five minutes had been played when a sweeping move that involved Ewan Evans, Jai Freemantle, Sam Foster and Jordan Harrison led to Luke Matthews firing Devils ahead.

To be fair to players of his team coach Sean Brown began to shuffle his pack and half-time arrived with just the single goal between the teams.

After the break the second goal arrived when Evans, who had a fine game in defence, released the ball to Connor Brown who swapped passes with McCreadie-Taylor prior to Sam Foster finding the back of the net.

Coach Brown said: “I was pleased overall with the performance and felt reassured seeing the ability of the team working in various positions. They are all clearly learning the strengths of their fellow team mates and that augers well for their futures in the game.”

The Devils Man of the match award went to Luke Matthews.
