Honiton Devils Under-10s were worthy 2-1 winners when they met West Hill Wasps.

Luke Matthews and Sam Foster combined prior to Dominic McCreadie-Taylor firing Devils into a fourth minute lead.

The impressive Sam Foster doubled the lead on eight minutes.

After the break Wasps came back well and halved the deficit to set up a frenetic last five minutes, but the Devils dug deep to thoroughly deserve the victory.

The Devils Man of the Match award went to Dominic McCreadie-Taylor.

Devils then shared two goals with CS Pumas.

In a bright start Devils took the lead after some solid defending from skipper Ewan Evans which released Sam Foster who then linked well with Dominic McCreadie-Taylor prior to a cross being headed home at the far post by River Leisk.

If the first half belonged to the Devils then the Pumas took charge after the break and levelled. However, thanks to some fine defending and excellent handling by keeper Jos Evans Devils held ion to take a share of the spoils.

Sam Foster was named the Devils Man of the Match and new boss Sean Brown said: “I am both pleased and proud of the lads who all put a shift in and did themselves proud in what were out first games together.”
