Mid Devon Youth Football League

This Sunday, Seaton Under-10s were playing in the Mid Devon Youth League away to Culm Sampford United and Tigers, writes Anthony Hellier.

The majority of the Seaton squad were present which allowed the manager to pick two different sides against the Culm Sampford teams. Seaton’s less experienced players faced CS United and they battled well but were beaten 4-2, Seaton goals scored by Edward Kenworthy and Reece McCabe who both played half of this game each to make up a full Seaton team.

In the second game, Seaton faced CS Tigers who are top of the Mid Devon League and Seaton put out their strongest side available. The first half was even but CS Tigers scored right on half time. Seaton started the second half well and scored through Reece McCabe. CS Tigers scored again to make the score 2-1. The match then became hard fought with strong tackles, but Seaton scored two fantastic break-away goals through Edward Kenworthy and Reece McCabe and won the game 3-2.

It’s the first time Seaton have beaten CS Tigers, so well done to the whole team, a great result.
