Seaton Under-9s rounded off their Exeter and District Youth League season with another impressive all-round show.

The youngsters were good all over the park as they dominated Exeter-based Pink Panthers and deservedly ran out 4-1 winners.

Aaron Hale opened the scoring with a deft volley from a cross, but the Panthers pegged them back after the defence failed to clear their lines, despite a superb initial save from the outstanding Kieran Jaycock.

Seaton continued to move the ball well and were soon back in front with a goal of genuine quality!

Max Nevell collected a ball on the edge of the box and turned before firing a bullet shot into the top corner of the net.

Such was the control Seaton had on proceedings that the Panthers rarely troubled the Seaton goal in the second half, with the tireless George Gait and Leo Gribble controlling the middle of the field, whilst Harvey Green and Henry Mathhews repelled any threat in defence.

Christian Pinnock added a third following a wonderful move before Hale finished what he started with his side’s fourth and final goal.

Seaton coach Alan Hale said: “It really was an exceptional team performance and that was most pleasing. When this group of lads play this way they really are very good on the eye.”
