Honiton Devils Under-12s won their Exeter and District Youth League Division Two meeting with West Hill Wasps 6-3.

Devils made a sluggish start and fell behind to a second minute goal. However, the response was immediate and clinical as Connor Brown created space for himself before rifling a 20-yard shot beyond the Wasps glovesman.

A delightful through-ball from central defender Lee Pulman sent Brown clear, but his shot struck the post.

Sam Foster then fired Devils into the lead and a corner by skipper Zac Harrison was headed home by Sam Foster before an Elliot Holdsworth strike gave Devils a 4-1 half-time advantage.

Wasps struck early in the second half to make it 4-2 and then added a third to close the gap to just one goal.

However, Foster, who impressed throughout, drilled the ball home from the edge of the area to make it 5-3 and a Joe Evans goal completed the scoring.

Skipper Harrison was at the centre of everything positive about Devils, but their Man of the Match award went to Lee Pulman for a great display at the heart of the defence.
