Honiton Harries Under-9s put in two outstanding performances against two unbeaten teams in the league and played out of their skins in both games.

Jack Cowley in goal was great with Jack Bevan and Isaac Lidster playing so well at the back along with Liam Osborne, Mason Doble and Tyler Pendrick working and passing the ball well in midfield. Harry Smith, Aston Beck along with William White also played well up front. Both Alphington and Exmouth found it very hard to break the Harriers down and when they did the Harriers at the other end found themselves out of luck in front of goal but playing such good football all over the pitch and was unlucky to come away with losing both games Harry Smith got man of the match for is all round play and hard work.

Harriers manager Garry Osborne said: “I was really pleased that both opposition managers complemented my team on our approach to the game. They were also keen to praise the way we closed down and tried to pass the ball. I know I am starting to sound like a broken record with how proud I am with the boys with their progress every week and how the team never give up and most important how much every single one of them love playing football win lose or drew, but it really is a fact that I am so pleased with their collective progress.”
