Honiton Terrors 0, Colyton 5

Honiton Terrors Under-10s were beaten by a strong Colyton side on a sunny Sunday morning in an East Devon Youth League game.

Colyton started strongly coming close in the first few minutes, but Honiton held their nerve and settled down to the task in hand.

Dominic McCreadie and Elliot Holdsworth were kept busy in midfield and Ben Lapping showed great strength in his forward role. After several attempts the defensive team of Matt Bevis, Ewan Evans and Louie Stamp couldn’t stop Colyton opening the scoring.

Honiton re-grouped and battled on with Joseph Charlton and Zac Harrison inspirational.

However, a well-organised Colyton added three more goals before half-time. After a team talk Honiton looked brighter and started passing the ball well and creating space to move the ball around with Lee Pullman, Jacob Fisher and Harvey Newton playing their part in an enjoyable second half, Harry Horn made several fantastic saves to keep the score line respectful with Ewan Evans and Zac Harrison coming close to scoring.

Honiton should be very proud of their football and of course, their great team work!

The Man of the Match award was shared between Lee Pullman and Harry Horn for their impressive days work
