Honiton Terrors Under-11s began their season with a 6-1 defeat to Seaton Town.

It’s a big set-up this year for the young Terrors who are now playing 9-a-side on a bigger playing area and with off-side rules applying.

Terrors began tentatively, but grew in confidence with Zac Harrison and Ewan Evans controlling midfield

Ben Lapping and James Pring looked sharp in their forward roles, but it was Seaton who were quicker and they took the lead from a corner. Three more goals followed for Demons to trail 4-0 at the break.

A bright start to the second half saw Louie Stamp hit the crossbar before Demons got the goal they deserved when Jake Mabbut scored. Harry Horn made some fine saves, but Seaton managed two more to complete the scoring.

Logan Tratt made a good debut for the Demons.

Coach Mark Fisher said: “All of my lads played some lovely football with Jake Mabbutt, Louie Stamp and Harry Horn all sharing the Man of the Match award. Well done, lads, keep enjoying your football.”
