Honiton Terrors Under-11s triumph thanks to McCreadie-Taylor four goal haul

PUBLISHED: 22:38 14 October 2014

Honiton Terrors Under-11s were comfortable winners in their meeting with a battling Avishayes Under-12 side.

After both Dom McCreadie-Taylor and James Pring had gone close the former opened the scoring with a crisp shot.

That was the first of what would be a 25-minute McCreadie-Taylor hat-trick and an Ewen Evans goal from a Zac Harrison corner gave Terrors a 4-0 half-time lead.

After the break Avishayes started well and took control which meant work to do for Harry Horn in the Terrors’ goal, work he did with his usual self-assuredness. Tired legs from the players in front of him did lead to one goal being pulled back before Horn made the save of the day to deny the opposition a second. Inspired by the save Terrors regained the initiative and McCreadie-Taylor scored his fourth before Elliot Holdsworth completed the scoring. This was a contest played out in a great sprit by both sets of players.

Four-goal McCreadie-Taylor was named the Terrors’ Man of the Match.
