Honiton Town return to South West Peninsula League Eastern Division action this coming Saturday (February 10) when they entertain Liverton (3pm).

When the sides met in South Devon in the second week of the season the Hippos lost 1-0.

Since then, Liverton have only won two other games and currently sit bottom of the table. If the Hippos can claim a sixth win of their league campaign it could see them climb two places to 11th.

None of the three Honiton Town senior sides were able to get a game in last Saturday.

It means the wait for the Reserves to return to action will be one of 13 weeks when they next play for they are without a game this weekend and so will play for the first time since November 18!

Indeed since November 4, a period now well over three months, the Hippos second team have played just one game.

The Town third team also do not play this coming Saturday and so will be back in action the Saturday after at which stage there will be just a dozen Saturday’s left in the season and the Hippos third team will still have 19 Macron League Division Eight matches to fit in!

The third team have not played at all since December 9 and indeed, have been in action just twice since November 18.
