Honiton Town Football Club are holding their 2018 annual general meeting tomorrow evening (Tuesday, June 19).
Always an important night on the Town calendar, this year’s is even more important as the team, now back under then management of Kev Blackwell and his assistant Nick Ogden, are looking forward to a second season of South West Peninsula League Eastern Division football.
A key requirement during this close season is for the club to recruit some new helpers to get stuck into those all-important jobs that ever club has to be done.
Town are an ambitious football club and looking to continue developing on, and off, the Mountbatten Park turf.
A club official says: “We are looking for more volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the club, and to help us progress all the teams and the facilities we offer. It doesn’t matter how much, or how little time people have. To pinch that very well-known supermarket chain’s strap line ‘every little helps’, and we would dearly love to recruit some new blood to help and indeed support the small, but highly valued team of volunteers who take on the work at the moment.”
They are a friendly bunch at Honiton Town and anyone reading this who wants to get along to the AGM will be made most welcome.
It all takes place at the Mountbatten Park clubhouse home of Honiton Town Football Club and things get under way from 7pm.
