Honiton Town Reserves edged out at Hatherleigh

The long journey to Hatherleigh proved unproductive for Honiton Town Reserves as they slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat.

Joe ‘Tis’ Knight travelled as stand-in manager with regular ‘gaffer’ John Lewis unavailable.

Knight, though disappointed with the result, did take positives from the reversal.

He said: “I cannot fault the effort and application of the players who were committed from first whistle to last. I do feel that if we had seen a more ruthless nature to our finishing we would have come home with something to show for our efforts.”

Lewis will be back orchestrating things fro the Town dugout for Saturday’s trip to Uplowman.
