Honiton Town Reserves were emphatic winners when they hosted Stoke Hill in their opening game of the new Fresha Devon and Exeter League season.

Four players, Karl Allen, Olly Kramer, Rhys Sellick and Bradley Spiller, made debuts and, given the collective performances of the side, there’s little doubt that the Town Reserves have an excellent squad this season. It’s certainly one very capable of mounting challenges for honour son all fronts.

Correy Couch (2), Aaron Pearse, Louis Grant, a Ben Price penalty and an own goal made up the Mountbatten Park men’s scorers.

In a fine all-round performance from all involved it was the shift of Rhys Selick that deserves special mention.

On Saturday the Town Reserves start their Budden Westinsure Devon Intermediate Cup campaign with a trip to Woodbury.
