Honiton Town Reserves power way to 4-1 win at Starcross Generals

Honiton Town Reserves were on top form as they took apart hosts Starcross generals to the tune of a 4-1 success.

With manager John Lewis away at the weekend with a prior commitments, the helm was left in very safe hands of team skipper Joe Knight and Mike ‘Patrick’ Wheeler, the pair more than filling the void, even if only for the weekend!

With a number of players missing, the pleasing thing as far as the absent boss was concerned was just how many players took their opportunity to step up to the plate and show what they are capable of! That does of course make for a major headache for John Lewis when it comes to selecting a side for the next game!

It was joint-boss-for-the-day Mike Wheeler who took the scoring honours with a clinical hat-trick. The other goal was scored by Owen Mcreadie –Taylor.

On Saturday Town Reserves host Ilminster at Mountbatten Park.
