Honiton Reserves continued their impressive form with a 3-2 Mountbatten Park success over Sampford Peverell.

However, such are the standards these days at the club, team boss John Lewis was not content with what his charges had produced against the Mid Devon men.

Lewis said: “It was perhaps a factor that, having played, and beaten the same opposition just seven days before the lads took to the pitch thinking it would be a simple task to bank the points again. That’s never the case in football – as the team discovered!”

Goals from Ryan Dunn, Correy Couch and Tim Genders, secured the victory.

As for a Man of the Match, that was a tight call between Ryan Dunn and Ben Price.

This Saturday (March 14) Town’s second string make the long haul to Halwill.

Lewis says: “With the success or failure of the team still very much in the players hands, now sitting in fourth place there are some important games coming up. We have the ability, of that there is little doubt, but now we need to make sure that we are up for each and every game no matter the opposition or the previous result!”
