Dawlish 2, Honiton Town 2

Honiton Town Under-11s were good value for their share of the spoils in an entertaining Exeter and District Youth League meeting.

Playing up the slope in the first half Honiton more than held their own against the confident hosts. Both sides saw plenty of the ball in the first half and when the home team got a sight of the Town goal they found keeper Oliver Turl in great form. Midway through the first half some patient Town build-up was rewarded when Caleb Freemantle scored. The hosts responded well and struck twice themselves to take a 2-1 lead into the break.

After the break Honiton used the slope well and launched a number of attacks and it was no more than they deserved when Ben Spence tucked away the games fourth and final goal to ensure honours ended even.

Laura Beth Outram was outstanding in the Town defence.

All 13 of the Town players on duty gave their all for the cause in what was a fine all-round show.
