Honiton Under-11s battle well in heavy defeat to Colyton Under-12s

Honiton Under-11s suffered a heavy defeat when they faced Colyton Under-12s.

Colyton powered their way into an early two-goal lead, but Honiton battled back and good approach play involving Elliot Holdsworth and James Pring led to Dominic McCreadie halving the deficit.

It was soon 2-2 with Jake Mabbutt and Joseph Charlton involved prior to McCreadie-Taylor netting his second. That stung Colyton into a response and they cracked in four more unanswered first half goals.

The second half was a one-sided affair, but the Honiton players never stopped working and were rewarded late on with a third goal, scored by Ewen Evans.

Elliot Holdsworth and Jordan Harrison shared the Honiton Man of the Match award.
