Honiton Under 13'13s went down 2-0 on their visit to Dawlish.

Despite slipping to a third successive defeat the team retuned home feeling they could, perhaps should, have taken at least a point for their efforts in South Devon.

Playing the first half against a blustery wind blowing down the considerable slope, Honiton knew they would have to dig in against their top three hosts, and, while Dawlish bossed the early stages, Honiton looked dangerous through the strong running of Dominic McCreadie-Taylor and Caleb Freemantle.

However, the visitors were guilty of ball watching on more than one occasion and Dawlish took advantage to lead 2-0 at the break.

The second period saw Honiton in the ascendancy, and with the introduction of Ewan Evans helping secure them defensively, they spent the majority of the 35 minutes camped in the opposition half. Unfortunately, despite creating several clear chances, Honiton’s shooting boots deserted them and they were unable to alter the score by full-time.
