Archant

Seaton Under-10s were unbeaten in opening day action against Millwey Rise teams.

First up they defeated Falcons 7-3 with goals from Henry Matthew (2), Leo Gribble (2), Daniel Bryne, Adam Clinch and the Max Nevell.

The second match saw Eagles give Seaton plenty to think about in a contest plated at a hectic tempo!

Seaton conceded within seconds of the start and fell further behind to an unfortunate own goal.

However, a stunning half volley from Aaron Hale just before the break saw them go in only a goal behind.

There was plenty more end-to-end action after the break, but when Seaton conceded a penalty, their fate looked sealed!

That’s not what glovesman Kieran Jaycock thought as he made a superb save.

That stop was made all the more crucial when, with the clock ticking down young Hale struck a deserved equaliser.

Jaycock made another superb late save before the whistle to secure the point. Max Nevell was named Seaton Player of the Morning after his shift of tireless running, great defensive work and unselfish team play.
